A spherical coordinate system would be preferable to deal with many problems on the climate of the earth as thermal radiation. In mathematics, the polar coordinate system is a system of two-dimensional coordinates that determines at each point a plane at a distance from a fixed point and an angle of a fixed address. The fixed point (similar to the origin of a Cartesian system) is called the pole, and the radius of the pole in the fixed direction is the polar axis. The distance from the pole, the radial coordinate or radius and angle is the angular coordinate, polar angle and azimuth.
